Bayonet
Relatively unchanged in its design since World War II, the bayonet still retains a place in modern military strategy. Bayonet charges have continued to be effective as recently as the second Gulf War and the war in Afghanistan. ― Official description
In Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2, players can acquire the Bayonet — a unique decorative knife that stands out among other inventory items. This rare item (★) can be found by opening specific cases or purchased directly from another user. The Bayonet holds a special place in the collection, being one of the first five cosmetic knives added to the game with the Arms Deal update.
Overview
The Bayonet does not affect gameplay, having only a cosmetic effect, and shares the same characteristics as a regular knife. This item debuted in the beta versions of Global Offensive, where it was initially presented as the standard melee weapon for counter-terrorists. However, many players choose the Bayonet for its unique draw animation.
Interesting Facts
A unique vanilla Bayonet with a zero float appeared in the game, which, to the surprise of many, cannot be traded or sold. Most likely, this item was restored by Steam support.
Unlike a similar case with the vanilla Karambit, which also has a zero float, this Bayonet truly belongs to the category of rare special items (★) and is marked with a star.
The Bayonet in the game is inspired by the real Buck M9 Bayonet knife, released in 1993. The in-game version of the M9 Bayonet is based on a more modern model designed after the original M9 Bayonet. This knife features a serrated blade and is named after its predecessor.
One of the notable features of the Bayonet in the game is its unique draw animation: the character spins the knife around their hand before deftly catching it by the handle.
