Overview
The Bowie knife is used exclusively for cosmetic purposes and performs the same as the standard knife. Players can obtain the Bowie knife by opening cases or purchasing it on the Steam marketplace or directly from another user.
Interesting Facts
In the early 19th century, James Black created the legendary knife for Jim Bowie, who became famous for his skill in using this weapon during the Sandbar Fight. Subsequently, after the death of the famous musician David Bowie, whose name is associated with this legendary weapon, the Bowie knife was introduced into the game Global Offensive. Officially, the weapon is called the "Bowie knife," although in the game files it is referred to as the "survival Bowie knife."
The original design of the knife is inspired by the AITOR Oso Negro model. An interesting fact is that due to the way Valve has changed the size of the "Battle-Scarred" skin for the Bowie knife, the chances of getting a fully blue version of this skin are significantly higher than those for other types of knives.
Behind the Scenes
References to the model's texture files were removed in the July 1, 2014, update (Operation Breakout) from the game files along with the M48 Tomahawk and Classic Knife. This suggests that the knife was planned in advance and released only two years later.

- In the back: the primary attack deals 76 damage with armor and 90 damage without armor. The secondary attack deals significantly more damage - 153 damage with armor and 180 damage without armor.
