P250
“A low-recoil firearm with a high rate of fire, the P250 is a relatively inexpensive choice against armored opponents.” ― Official description
Review
The P250 is a semi-automatic pistol found in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2.
Let's dive into the details. Created by New Hampshire-based SIG Sauer, the P250 was designed to be a highly customizable weapon. It began selling in 2007, but did not become widely known as orders were canceled in some countries.
Speaking of in-game performance, the P250 only costs $300. It holds 13 rounds in the magazine and has a capacity of 26 rounds. This pistol is easy to control, although it is a little more complex in this regard than the basic pistols. Its damage to unarmored targets is higher and its damage reduction over range is lower than that of the Glock-18, allowing it to guarantee one-shot headshot kills at long range against unprotected opponents. However, unlike basic pistols, it will not kill an enemy wearing a helmet with one shot to the head — a feature that was removed in 2017. Additionally, the P250's first shot accuracy is worse, which can work against you at long ranges. However, this pistol has more armor penetration than the base pistols, although not as much as the Five-SeveN, Tec-9, or Desert Eagle.
Thanks to its low price and good damage, the P250 is great for upgrading your arsenal in pistol rounds, especially against weakly armored or defenseless opponents. However, it can no longer perform the function of destroying armored opponents in economy rounds, as it did before. Now, more expensive $500 pistols have become the better choice for such applications.
Tactical Tips
Try not to shoot at random, especially at a distance. Prioritize precision shots to maintain maximum accuracy. Remember that the P250 has limited ammo capacity, so make every shot count. For the attacking side, it is often beneficial to buy the P250 in a pistol round, as its powerful and accurate shots can make fights with the defenders much easier. After the first round and the buy round, it usually gives way to more expensive pistols that can kill with one shot to the head.
Fun Facts: The P250 in the game is based on a compact version that uses .
40 S&W, although in the game it fires .357 SIG ammunition, like its predecessor, the 228 Compact. The P250 shares draw and reload animations with the Glock-18, Five-SeveN and P2000. Before its performance re-evaluation and the addition of the CZ75-Auto, the P250 accounted for over 70% of all handgun purchases. Its slide is marked "Sic Sawer P250", which was probably done to avoid copyright issues with SIG Sauer, the original manufacturer of the P250. The only design option for P250 | X-Ray can be obtained from Global Offensive in genuine quality by opening a case in France using the X-Ray scanner interface.
