“Flip knives sport a Persian-style back-swept blade with an acute point. While the point itself may be fragile, the overall design of the flip knife's design is surprisingly durable.” ― Official description
The Flip Knife is a cosmetic knife available to players in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive & Counter-Strike 2, and is an extremely rare item received from opening certain weapons cases. The Flip Knife is one of the five original cosmetic knives introduced in the Arms Deal update. It is one of the 5 knives that can be found in Gamma finishes by opening the Gamma Case or Gamma 2 Case.
The Flip Knife is cosmetic only, and shares the same performance as the default knife. The Flip Knife was first seen in the Alpha versions of Global Offensive as the default Terrorist knife.
The Falchion Knife is a notable cosmetic weapon for participants in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2, categorized under the rare special (★) item class. It first came to light with the Operation Bloodhound update on May 27, 2015, where it was exclusively available through the Falchion Case. Its availability widened on March 15, 2017, with the introduction of Chroma finishes obtainable via the Spectrum Case.
Subsequently, the knife reappeared in the Spectrum 2 Case on September 14, 2017. It broadened its cosmetic variety on September 21, 2021, with the launch of Gamma finishes as part of the Operation Riptide update, featured in the Operation Riptide Case.
The Flip Knife in Counter-Strike is modeled after the actual Benchmade 860 Bedlam® Folding Knife. A unique characteristic of the Flip Knife is that it cannot remain folded due to the blade being longer than the handle. As a result, when attempted to be folded, the blade protrudes from the handle, contradicting the typical design where the blade is meant to be fully concealed within the handle.
In all respects, this knife is identical to a regular one. The differences are only cosmetic.
