PP-Bizon

PP-Bizon

“The Bizon SMG is low-damage, but offers a uniquely designed high-capacity drum magazine that reloads quickly.” ― Official description

PP-Bizon is a true cult figure in the gaming world, specifically in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2.

Let's delve into the world of this weapon. Created by Russian masters at Izhmash back in 1996, the PP-19 "Bizon" impresses with its design and functionality. In the game, it is armed with a 64-round tubular magazine filled with 9x18mm Makarov cartridges - a choice that makes it truly unpredictable. This weapon is available to both sides in the game, and each player can carry up to 120 additional rounds.

With its impressive magazine, the PP-Bizon ranks first among all submachine guns and even surpasses most other weapons, second only to machine guns. Its lightness, affordability, and high firepower make it an attractive choice for many players. However, its drawbacks include low armor penetration, modest damage, and limited firing range, making it less appealing in serious competitions.

Nevertheless, the Bizon finds its place in anti-eco rounds, where its ability to instantly eliminate enemies with headshots and high rate of fire make it an invaluable ally. But beware: its damage decreases with every step, making it less effective at a distance.

So, when you hear the distinctive click of the PP-Bizon in the game, remember that it's not just a weapon - it's a true icon, ready to lead you to victory.

Tactics

When using the PP-Bizon, it's important to know that its low damage makes it a less preferable choice. Instead, for economical rounds, it's better to consider weapons like the UMP-45.

If you encounter anti-eco rounds, you have more suitable options, such as the MAC-10 or MP9, which are usually more effective in such situations.

However, if you still decide to use the PP-Bizon, take advantage of its high movement speed, accuracy while moving, and large magazine to reduce the distance with the enemy. But remember, because of its low damage, you'll need to shoot in advance if you can predict the enemy's location.

Always aim for the head, as it will take a minimum of four shots to kill an enemy in the body without armor, and seven with armor. Despite the higher damage to the legs of armored enemies, attempts to kill them by shooting their legs are still ineffective due to their small size.

The real effectiveness of using the PP-Bizon can only be achieved on the CT side, if the T side sets a bomb in the first pistol round and fully saves in the second round to buy armor and AKs in the third round. Although success is not guaranteed, the spray tactic with the PP-Bizon in anti-eco rounds can give your team a huge economic advantage.

And finally, forget about using this weapon at long distances, as its low damage becomes practically negligible. In such cases, it's better to retreat and ambush enemies in close combat.

Interesting Facts

The name "PP-Bizon" is not commonly used in real life. It represents a fusion of two real weapon names: PP-19 and Bizon. In the Russian version of the game, it is correctly called "PP-19 Bizon."

Initially, it was planned to make the Bizon exclusive to terrorists, similar to the MP7 for counter-terrorists. However, in the game, it uses 9x19mm Parabellum cartridges, although in real life, the PP-19 Bizon-2-01 variant can use 9x19mm Parabellum cartridges, but only holds 53 rounds per magazine.

The weapon may also be a modification of the Bizon 2-02, which uses .380 ACP cartridges, also known as 9mm Short. In the game, the Bizon uses a 64-round magazine, although its damage and penetration are very low.

Technically, the magazine used by the Bizon is not a drum magazine but rather a helical one. This makes the Bizon the only weapon in the Counter-Strike series to use a helical magazine.

The nickname "Pea Shooter" is one of the popular nicknames for the PP-Bizon, referring to its low damage and the abundance of the letter "P" in its name. Another common nickname, "Pepe Bizon," has become a long-standing humorous meme in the player community.

The draw and bolt pull animations of the PP-Bizon resemble those of the AK-47.

Interestingly, the achievement "PP-Bizon Expert" is the least obtained weapon achievement in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (as of January 2021), excluding equipment.
