Bump Mine
“Toss one of these on the ground and send your opponents flying. You can step on one, but make sure you have a parachute...”―Official Description
Introduction
Introduced in the April 30, 2019 update for Counter-Strike 2, Bump Mines are unique equipment available exclusively in the Danger Zone mode.
Details
A Bump Mine is a type of landmine that, upon detonation, generates an incredibly powerful push force. To deploy a Bump Mine, you can throw it by pressing the primary fire key while equipped. Once it makes contact with any surface or player, it will attach itself there. You can retrieve a deployed Bump Mine by holding the interact key while aiming at it. However, damaging a deployed mine can destroy it.
The mine activates shortly after deployment and will detonate when a player enters its trigger zone. While the explosion itself does not inflict damage, it exerts a significant force that propels nearby players away. The explosion is also capable of destroying breakable objects such as doors and vents. Players propelled by the explosion can suffer damage if they collide with surfaces at high speed, including walls, leading to fall damage or impact injuries.
Strategic Use
Bump Mines serve dual purposes: they can be used as conventional landmines to surprise and disorient enemies, or they can be strategically deployed for rapid movement across the map.
In Danger Zone matches, Bump Mines can be found as pickups scattered around the map or acquired by purchasing the Mobility Package.
