FAQ
Spinx utilizes a Razer Deathadder V3 Pro White mouse set at 900 DPI and an in-game sensitivity of 1.1, resulting in an effective eDPI of 990. This combination provides a balanced approach, allowing for precise tracking and swift movement, which is essential for high-level competitive play. The 1000 Hz polling rate ensures minimal input lag, giving Spinx the responsiveness needed for quick reactions in intense scenarios.
Spinx employs a Classic Static crosshair style with a very minimalistic design: a small gap of -4, short length of 1, and a thickness of 1, all without a center dot. The crosshair is colored with a custom RGB value of (100, 100, 100) and set to high alpha for visibility. This configuration offers a clean, unobtrusive aiming point, reducing distractions and enabling precise shot placement, which is crucial for maintaining accuracy during fast-paced engagements.
Spinx opts for a 1280x960 resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio and stretched scaling mode, all displayed in fullscreen. He prioritizes high frame rates by disabling V-Sync and setting the maximum FPS in-game to 500. Most graphical details such as shader and particle detail are set to low, while global shadow quality is set to very high and boost player contrast is enabled. These choices ensure maximum clarity and smoothness, allowing him to spot opponents quickly without sacrificing visual information that can impact competitive play.
Spinx uses the ZOWIE XL2586X+ monitor, renowned for its high refresh rates and esports-grade responsiveness. His monitor settings include DyAc turned off, color vibrance set to 17 for enhanced enemy visibility, low blue light at 0 to maintain color accuracy, and black equalizer at 10 to brighten dark areas without overexposing the image. These settings collectively maximize his ability to spot opponents in all environments and reduce eye strain during long gaming sessions.
Historically, Spinx has experimented with different DPI and sensitivity pairings, previously using 800 DPI with a sensitivity of 1.23 and an eDPI of 984. However, his current choice of 900 DPI and 1.1 sensitivity (eDPI 990) reflects a fine-tuned balance between speed and precision. Such adjustments indicate a player’s ongoing commitment to refining their aim and comfort, tailoring their setup to suit evolving competitive demands and personal preference.
Spinx relies on the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro White headset, known for its excellent spatial audio and comfort, complemented by Razer Moray Black earphones. This setup ensures he can accurately locate enemy footsteps and other critical in-game sounds, giving him a significant edge in situational awareness. The choice of high-quality audio hardware highlights the importance he places on sound cues for decision-making in matches.
Spinx currently uses a Razer Prototype Keyboard (Unreleased) paired with a Razer Gigantus V2 Dragon Lore Edition mousepad. The keyboard’s likely fast actuation and the mousepad’s large, smooth surface enable rapid, consistent inputs and broad mouse movements, which are vital for precise aiming and swift reactions. Such equipment choices support his need for reliability and comfort during extended periods of competitive play.
Spinx sets his viewmodel field of view (FOV) to 68, with offset values of 2.5 for X, 0 for Y, and -1.5 for Z, using preset position 2 and disabling viewmodel bobbing. These settings minimize visual distractions from weapon movement and keep the weapon model compact and out of the way, maximizing his field of vision and helping him maintain focus on opponents and critical game elements.
Spinx customizes his HUD color to match his team color and sets the HUD scale to 1 for optimal information density. His radar is set to a size of 1, with a map zoom of 0.7, and is configured to rotate and center the player. Additionally, he enables toggling radar shape with the scoreboard. This configuration ensures he can quickly access crucial positional information without the HUD becoming overwhelming or obstructive.
Spinx does not use any custom launch options, indicating a preference for a straightforward setup that avoids potential compatibility issues. However, he enables NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency, which reduces system latency and ensures that his inputs are registered as quickly as possible. This setting is especially important in high-stakes competitive environments, where even milliseconds can make a decisive difference.
