Professional player from Team Vitality Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev expressed dissatisfaction with the state of competitive mode. The player complained about the match remake system, which players mainly use to avoid matches against professional players. Derke shared this on his personal profile on X.
Any devs who are immo3/radiant? how do you guys enjoy this beautiful remake system every 2-3 games against every good player/pro/streamer
or do u guys keep it for yourself cause why can't we fix this simple issue that everyone keeps abusingPublished with the spelling and punctuation of the source preserved.
Some professional players and streamers have already expressed their agreement with Derke. Another professional player from VCL, Kyle “ScrewFace” Jensen, who plays for Nightblood Gaming, shared in the comments that he had already communicated with the developers about the remake over a year ago.
I had some meetings with Riot about it a year ago+ and unfortunately nothing has really changed. Day in and day out perma dodges occurring with no meaningful deterrent to the ranked players who abuse it, I hope something changes soon.Published with the spelling and punctuation of the source preserved.
Derke is also dissatisfied with the state of the shooting range in VALORANT. The player is outraged that since the beta, no new features have been added, and on the contrary, the range has been reduced.
More options or things to do in the range -> Why did we remove retake/afterplant scenario? shooting range is the same from beta lolPublished with the spelling and punctuation of the source preserved.
In addition to criticizing the state of the competitive mode and the developers' inaction on this issue, Derke also shared his wishes for changes he would like to see after the transition to Unreal Engine 5.
- Ability to enter the shooting range while searching for a match
- RR decay for inactive top players to discourage smurfing and protect leaderboard integrity
- Increased player count in Deathmatch
- Search bar for skins and Gun Buddies, similar to the one used for sprays and player cards
- Option in custom lobbies with cheats to track where abilities land without having to use ghost mode to reach the final point
- Possibility to spawn bots in custom games with cheats to use as dummies
- Casual game modes for players to have actual fun in-game
Derke also proposed a radical solution to the problem of additional applications for checking hidden nicknames and player statistics, which often cause problems when playing in high-level lobbies.
if someone uses an app to check nicknames in the agent select in order to dodge/remake -> put their webcam on for everybody to see who's the loserPublished with the spelling and punctuation of the source preserved.
The transition to UE5 for the European region will take place on July 30, along with the release of patch 11.02. Riot Games promises that with the release of the update, the game will become lighter, performance will increase, and there will be a slight increase in productivity.
