Rainbow Six Siege suddenly using 100% CPU — anyone else? Came back to R6 after a break and now my CPU hits 100% even in the main menu. Temps are fine, drivers up to date, settings lowered — nothing helps. Never had this issue before. Anyone else run into this?

Same here after switching to Win11. Might be OS-related, try disabling background Xbox services.

That CPU is getting old for modern Siege. Recent patches added a lot of CPU load. I had to upgrade from a 6600k too — game just isn’t optimized for older quad-cores anymore.

Check if Siege is using Vulkan or DX11 — Vulkan can spike CPU usage on older chips.

Check for background apps running after Win11 install — things like OneDrive sync or Windows Widgets can silently hog CPU. I had similar issues until I disabled most startup tasks and background services.

Try setting the CPU priority to normal in Task Manager. Helped me reduce the spikes.

Could be Easy Anti-Cheat bugging out. Try a full reinstall of the game and EAC.
