The 25.S1.3 update in League of Legends has brought significant changes to the game balance, champion mechanics, runes, items, epic monsters, and overall gameplay. This is the first major patch in the 2025.S1 season aimed at improving balance, reducing snowballing, and adjusting mechanics.
Main Balance Changes in Champions
This is the first major patch this season. Jayce underwent many changes, shifted from a tank build to an attacking character. Cassiopeia received her second nerf.

Buffing champions such as Swain is a great decision as the nerfs hit him hard. Improvements to Samira, who was more popular in the hands of players who mastered her, will give less experienced players a chance to try her out.

Changes in Game Systems
Passive Bounty Reduction:
- The lead required to start passive bounty reduction has been reduced by 60%.
- The lead required to completely remove bounties from the losing team members has been reduced by 33%.
- Now, during bounty activations, bounties for the losing team members are completely removed.
Chemtech Soul
The Chemtech Dragon's soul is currently the least useful among all others. It has been buffed to make it more valuable.

- False Life now fully regenerates health. Previously it only restored the base amount.

Sudden Death Rule
Added a sudden death rule.
- At 25:00 towers begin losing 35% of current armor and magic resistance per minute. This effect accumulates and applies to all towers.
- At 27:00 the message “After 3 minutes, the sudden death rule will begin!” appears.
- At 30:00 every reachable structure starts losing 3.3% of maximum health every 2 seconds. The message “The sudden death rule has begun!” appears.
- At 36:00 the nexuses explode and the game forcibly ends.

- Rift Herald spawn time: 10:00 ⇒ 11:30
- Fixed a bug where the Rift Herald's damage increase (easy play rule) did not work when champion-controlled.

Additional Changes
New broadcast mode: players' names can now be hidden in the game, replaced with champion names. This will help streamers avoid stream sniping and harassment.

This patch also introduces color schemes for the skin line: Dumpling Darlings Amumu, Dumpling Darlings Syndra.
