This region surrenders the most in League of Legends

Surrendering in League of Legends has always been a hotly debated topic. On one hand, it allows you and your team to get out of a game that is completely unwinnable and move onto the next, while at times you'll have teammates that surrender when the game is still in a winnable state, causing frustration for the time you just wasted. But which region surrenders the most in League of Legends? Let's take a look.

According to Leagueofgraphs, Japan and Korea stand out the most as the two regions that surrender the most in League of Legends. This has been well documented amongst the League of Legends community at this point, especially when Western players have streamed Korean solo queue to practice, only to find out their team is opening mid-lane so that the game ends in ten minutes if they feel the game is already out of hand.

This has been the case since the dawn of time, and there's one noteable reason why. The culture in the East isn't exactly the reason solo queue games are ending in ten minutes, but a large reason is that a good portion of the players are playing from internet cafe's. And when time is money, especially on a machine that is not your own, you can understsnad why players would want out of the game rather than to continue playing and try to pull back a losing game.

In a region like Europe, the idea of surrendering is less common than compared to some of the other League of Legends regions. Europe has one of the lower surrender rates in the world, with the majority of their surrenders coming in the higher elos such as master and grandmaster. Challenger in Europe West also has a very high surrender rate at 33.9%, which is the second highest in the region. And with Challenger being such a small number of players, you can see why EUW ranks low on this list.
