We have all had that game when we're playing VALORANT and one of your teammates decides they have had enough of playing the game and decide to leave and never to return. This is a problem that FPS titles have been unable to solve, and within good reason, in regards to winning the game even when you're a man down. It's not like in League of Legends where an AFK doesn't immediately grant a loss, but in a tactical FPS like VALORANT, you're in for a rough one.
This also comes for the surrender system in VALORANT, where you and your team have forfeited the game because you're down to two or three players, but the game penalizes you all the same, giving you the maximum loss bonus for your MMR and sending you on your way. VALORANT players have had enough, here's what they have had to say about it over the past 24 hours.
VALORANT players have had enough of the surrender system
VALORANT players took to Reddit today to express their annoyance over the surrender system. The reason the original poster made the thread is that they were in a game, two people left, and when they wanted to surrender the game, the match continued because their teammates wanted to stay in the game despite it being a three versus five. "I just can't understand why valorant can't auto-terminate matches if someone went AFK in the first 3-4 rounds like it's being done on Marvel Rivals. Or at least have some kind of majority voting, like if there are 4 people and you wanna surrender, then let the team surrender when they get 3 votes."
The biggest gripe players have in this thread is the ability to lose maximum points despite the game being a loss. "its not even the 3v5 that bothers me, its the rr loss when we lose," one commenter said. They are one hundred percent correct, there should be a system that detects if a player has left the game, and rewards a loss mitigation reward for ending the game with an uneven team.
