FAQ
fREQ uses a Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro Black set at 400 DPI and a sensitivity of 1.7, which results in an effective DPI (eDPI) of 680. This combination is favored by many professional players for its balance between swift movement and fine control, allowing for precise aiming and consistent tracking without sacrificing the ability to quickly turn or react.
fREQ opts for a Classic Static crosshair with a very small gap of -4, minimal length and thickness, and no center dot, colored in cyan with full opacity. This compact design is enhanced by a bright, high-contrast cyan color, making it highly visible across all map backgrounds while avoiding unnecessary visual distraction. Such a configuration is ideal for precise headshot aiming and fast target acquisition.
fREQ uses a ZOWIE XL2566K monitor, which is well-known in the esports scene for its high refresh rate and advanced gaming features. The monitor is set with Premium DyAc (Dynamic Accuracy) for motion clarity, a color vibrance of 14 to enhance enemy visibility, a black equalizer of 12 to bring out details in dark areas, and low blue light is disabled to maintain color accuracy. These settings collectively ensure smooth gameplay, reduced motion blur, and improved spotting of opponents in shadowy corners.
fREQ plays on a 1280x960 resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio stretched to fullscreen, maximizing character models' size for easier target tracking. Most settings are tuned for performance and visibility: shader and particle details are set to low, dynamic shadows and global shadow quality are high for better information, and boost player contrast is enabled. Anti-aliasing is set to 8x MSAA for visual clarity, and Nvidia Reflex Low Latency is enabled with boost for the lowest input delay possible.
fREQ sets his mouse polling rate to 2000 Hz, significantly higher than the standard 1000 Hz. A higher polling rate means the mouse reports its position to the computer more frequently, resulting in smoother and more responsive cursor movement. This is particularly valuable in competitive play, where every millisecond of input lag matters for tracking and reacting to opponents.
fREQ’s current keyboard is the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Green (Unreleased), paired with a SteelSeries QcK Heavy mousepad. The TKL (tenkeyless) design provides more space for mouse movement, while the QcK Heavy offers a large, consistent surface with just the right amount of friction for controlled, precise swipes—both essential for competitive shooters where rapid and accurate movements are crucial.
fREQ uses a viewmodel field of view (FOV) of 68, with offsets set at X: 2.5, Y: 0, and Z: -1.5, and a preset position of 2. These settings push the weapon model slightly out of the center and lower in the frame, maximizing peripheral visibility and minimizing the obstruction of vision, allowing for better awareness of enemy positions and map details during gameplay.
Currently, fREQ uses a Razer BlackShark V3 Pro Black headset, which is recognized for its clear directional audio and comfortable fit. While specific in-game audio settings are not detailed, using such a high-quality headset allows fREQ to accurately pinpoint enemy footsteps and environmental cues, which are vital for situational awareness and quick reactions in competitive matches.
fREQ utilizes the launch options "+exec autoexec -threads 9 -allow_third_party_software". The '+exec autoexec' command ensures his custom settings are loaded at game start, '-threads 9' allocates nine CPU threads to the game for improved performance, and '-allow_third_party_software' permits the use of third-party tools, which can be useful for advanced peripherals or analytics.
Historically, fREQ has switched between high-end mice like the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 White and keyboards such as the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 Black. This progression shows a willingness to adapt and optimize his gear for changing preferences or advancements in technology, always seeking the best possible combination for comfort, speed, and reliability in competitive scenarios.
