Partner Skills Completely Revamped

Partner Skills have undergone a major overhaul, with new abilities added and more than 200 existing Pal Partner Skills redesigned.

These changes greatly expand team-building possibilities, allowing players to create specialized Pal teams suited for different challenges, playstyles, and situations.

With more variety than ever before, every Pal team can now be built with a unique purpose. Example:

  •  Element Resistance-Boosting Skill
  • Pal-Enhancing Skill
  • Shield-Enhancing Skill
  • Work Suitability-Boosting Skill

Partner Skill descriptions have also been updated to provide clearer information, making it easier to understand the exact effects and values of each ability.

As part of these adjustments, several Partner Skill names have been updated to better match their functions and effects.

With these changes, combining different Partner Skills can create stronger and more effective team synergies than ever before. The expanded skill system gives players greater freedom to customize their teams for specific goals, challenges, and playstyles.

Some examples of specialized team combinations include:

  • Bow & Arrow Build
  • Status Ailment Build
  • Element Build
  • Fishing Build

Combat Overhaul, New Skills & Battle Improvements

Major Player Combat and Movement Improvements

Player controls and animations have been extensively redesigned to create a faster, smoother, and more responsive combat experience.

Core actions such as movement, attacking, aiming, and weapon handling have been improved, giving players better control during both exploration and battle.

Updated Dodge System

The dodge action has been changed depending on the player's current action:

  • When not attacking or aiming, the traditional rolling dodge remains available.

Additional movement improvements include:

Raids & Base Defense Improvements

A Completely Redesigned Raid Experience

The raid system has been rebuilt from the ground up, turning base attacks into structured wave-based battles.

Instead of facing a single assault, enemies will now arrive in multiple waves. Successfully defeating every wave rewards players for defending their base, making preparation, strategy, and base layout more important than ever.

Base defense is no longer just about surviving an occasional attack. The placement of defensive structures, the roles of assigned Work Pals, and overall base planning now have a much greater impact on the outcome of each raid.

Raid encounters have also become more diverse, with enemy factions changing depending on the region where your base is located.

Examples:

  • The Free Pal Alliance attacking bases near Crescent Moon Shore.
  • The Eternal Pyre Faction launching raids around Mount Obsidian.

Additional raid improvements include:
