FACEIT takes a tough stance on toxic behavior and unsportsmanlike conduct with the latest update. The platform introduces stricter bans for griefing, smurfing, and boosting, as well as a probation period that will prevent offenders from quickly returning to the game.
Since June, FACEIT has already banned over 150,000 individuals, and this number will only grow as the platform continues to fine-tune its automatic detection system for toxic behavior.

Introducing a Probation Period to Prevent Repeat Toxicity
To curb repeat toxic behavior, FACEIT now requires banned players to go through a probation period. This new measure means that players banned once will face longer blocks if they violate the rules again during this time. The duration of blocks, ranging from one week to one year, is clearly stipulated in FACEIT's ban policy.

Fighting Smurfs and Boosters
In response to community feedback, FACEIT has also intensified its efforts to combat smurfs. Over the past month, the platform has implemented stricter checks and accelerated detection of smurfs and boosters, leading to a record number of permanent account bans. FACEIT assures users that it will continue to optimize its systems to detect offenders.
While FACEIT keeps some of its methods under wraps to prevent giving violators an advantage, the platform promises more updates as it refines its anti-smurfing and boosting systems.

Connectivity Issues to FACEIT Servers
Another important point is the improvement of network issues faced by some players when connecting to FACEIT servers. While most users report high-quality connections, the platform is aware of those encountering problems. Currently, FACEIT is testing changes that may improve network performance, particularly in minimizing the impact of packet misordering.
