Today marks the official start of Act 2 in Valorant's current Season 2025. Along with it, the game will receive a new Battle Pass, a skin bundle, agent balance changes, and much more. Below, we'll go over all the changes Riot Games has published in their official patch notes.
All Changes in Patch 10.04
Before we begin, it's important to note that this update is one of the largest, as is always the case when a new act begins. Here’s what the developers have to say about it:
Hey everyone! Ash here. This is a sharp patch, so listen closely. Hailing from Thailand, Waylay joins us as our new duelist! We can't wait to see your gameplay moments, so get ready to post some insane clutches. Also, major updates for Clove, Deadlock, Iso, and Tejo, along with minor VFX changes for Neon. Ascent and Icebox are back in rotation, while Abyss and Bind step out. If you're an Odin enjoyer on Ascent, you might want to rethink your B-site hold strategy. As always, we’re keeping an eye on your feedback, so keep sharing your thoughts. Happy gaming!
ALL PLATFORMS

Waylay
Our new duelist, Waylay, joins the roster from Thailand! She will be gradually released in all regions, starting at 9:00 AM PT on March 5.
- RefractInstantly deploys a beacon of light on the ground. Reactivation allows a swift return to it with invulnerability.
- Light SpeedEquips and activates the ability to dash forward twice. Alt-fire enables a single dash, with only the first dash being directable upwards.
- SaturateInstantly throws a light cluster that explodes on contact with the ground, slowing enemies, restricting movement, and reducing attack speed.
- Convergent PathsEquips and activates a beam of light that expands. After a short delay, Waylay gains a powerful speed boost, while the beam slows enemies within its radius.
Clove
Clove has been overperforming in ranked matches, so we’re adjusting her abilities to maintain balance. Like previous tweaks, we aim to diversify controllers and create space for other agents with similar strengths.
Meddle
- No longer explodes 1.3 seconds after activation. Now explodes 0.75 seconds after touching the ground.
- Updated projectile sound to match the new mechanic.
Ruse
- Cooldown increased from 30s → 40s.
Pick Me Up
- Health buff duration increased from 8s → 10s.
- Movement speed boost duration decreased from 8s → 3s.
Deadlock
Deadlock players have sharpened their skills, making her zoning abilities a unique strength. We're enhancing GravNet as her primary tool for keeping opponents locked down.
Barrier Mesh
- Changed to a non-signature ability.
- Cost: Free → 400 credits.
GravNet
- Changed to a signature ability with a 40s cooldown.
- Overall size reduced from 16m → 13m.
- Updated flight sound effect for better clarity.
- When an enemy removes the net, all players can now hear the break sound.

Iso
After changes in patches 8.11 and 9.0, Iso became too reliant on Double Tap. We are redistributing his power to make him a more versatile agent.
Undercut
- Charge count reduced from 2 → 1.
- Cost increased from 200 → 300 credits.
- Now applies both Suppression and Vulnerability for 4 seconds.
Contingency
- Added an alternate mode that halves the wall’s movement speed.
Double Tap
- Iso now gains Heavy Penetration when breaking his shield, meaning enhanced slowing effects.
Kill Contract
- FIX: If Iso does not have the Double Tap buff, his ultimate now automatically applies it, ensuring a bullet always forms after winning duels.
Neon
- Updated Overdrive visual effects to better indicate movement direction during combat.
Tejo
Tejo’s interaction with Killjoy's Lockdown led to unsatisfactory situations. We've adjusted Guided Salvo to require more team coordination to destroy Lockdown.
Guided Salvo
- Damage reduced from 70 → 65.
- Now deals only 50% damage to non-player objects.
- Killjoy's Lockdown now survives Guided Salvo with 5 HP.

MAP UPDATES
Map Rotation
- Ascent and Icebox return to Ranked and Deathmatch modes.
- Abyss and Bind leave these modes.
- Ascent A section of B Main wall is now bulletproof.

GAME SYSTEM UPDATES
Combat Report
- Visual update to the detailed damage breakdown panel for better organization and readability.
BUG FIXES

Agents
- Neon: Fixed a bug where she could "head shake" while sliding.
- Fade: Fixed an issue where her hands would freeze if she crouched while casting Nightfall.
Ranked Mode
- Fixed a bug where the Rank Shield icon disappeared from match history after playing Unrated games.
KNOWN ISSUES
- The first-person camera may appear slightly misaligned when spectating another player.

CONSOLE UPDATES
We aim to maintain high-quality gameplay across all platforms, making console adjustments only when necessary.
Neon
Overdrive
- Headshot multiplier increased from 2.5 → 3.0 (now standardized with PC).
- Leg shot multiplier increased from 0.75 → 0.85.
Sprint
- Fuel consumption reduced from 0.11 → 0.1 per second.

Reyna
Leer
- Health increased from 40 → 100.
