April 24 marked the fourth day of the third week of the VCT 2024 Americas Stage 1 competition. During the match between the reigning Masters champions, Sentinels, and Evil Geniuses, the latter emerged victorious with a score of 2:1.

On the first map, Ascent, EG established an advantage in the first half of the game, but SEN managed to make an impressive comeback and clinch victory with a score of 13-10. On the following map, Bind, EG turned the tide of the match and defeated their opponents in a tense showdown, 13-11.

On the third map, Haven, the first half of the match ended with a score of 6-6, after which a side switch occurred. In the second half, playing as the attacking side, EG began to exert pressure on their opponents, leading to Derrek making the decisive 1v2 clutch. Following that, Evil Geniuses secured their first victory over the Masters champions, Sentinels.

This defeat puts Sentinels in a difficult position in Group Alpha, where they are currently in last place with 2 wins and 2 losses. Victories by KRU, C9, and NRG threaten their chances of making it to the playoffs.
