LOUD destroyed EDG, while Paper Rex struggled but overcame Karmine Corp - Results of the third round of Masters Madrid

The first major tournament of this year, Masters Madrid, has already completed half of its journey. Yesterday, the third round of the group stage concluded, resulting in two more teams exiting the tournament.

The first match was between the Brazilian top team LOUD and the favorites from the Chinese region, EDward Gaming. Despite being the strongest in regional tournaments, the latter failed to continue their dominance on the international stage. The match turned out to be completely one-sided. On the first map Icebox, which was chosen by the Chinese, LOUD obliterated their opponents with a score of 13-2. The situation repeated on their own pick, Sunset, where the team again won effortlessly with a score of 13-3.

The second match was between Paper Rex and Karmine Corp, and this meeting was truly interesting. The teams successfully exchanged victories on their selected maps, with Paper Rex overcoming their opponents with some difficulty on their pick with a score of 13-10. On the second map, Lotus, the French team justified their selection and won with a score of 13-6. The outcome of the match was decided on Ascent, where the teams were neck and neck, leading the match into overtime. Ultimately, Paper Rex proved to be stronger and won with a score of 14-12.
