Paper Rex

Paper Rex is the only Singaporean organization that has achieved significant success in Valorant since its inception and to this day. Paper Rex Valorant was founded in July 2020 by four individuals: former professional CS player Harley “dsn” Ervall, CSGO2ASIA editor-in-chief Nikhil “nikH” Khatiramani, video game designer Matthew Jojo, and creative director Gad Tan. Unlike other organizations that have their own teams in many disciplines, Paper Rex has focused its attention on Valorant, and the effort has paid off.

In the period from 2020 to 2022, the team took part first in Tir-3 tournaments, and later began to perform on the Challengers stage in the Malaysia & Singapore region. At the end of 2021, the team even qualified for the 2021 Masters Berlin, but took only 13th-15th place there. The following year, the situation improved, Paper Rex won most of their official matches, finished 2nd at the 2022 Masters Copenhagen and qualified for the 2022 VALORANT Champions, where they finished 9th-12th.

But the organization did not plan to stop there, and in the period from 2023 to 2024 it continued to show high results again. After the club was promoted to VCT partner status in early 2023, Paper Rex players finished 1st at VCT 2023: Pacific League, 3rd at Masters Tokyo 2023 and advanced to another VALORANT Champions 2023, where they lost to Evil Geniuses in the final and finished 2nd. The same results were repeated in 2024, where the team took: 2nd place at VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff, 3rd place at Masters Madrid 2024, 3rd place at Pacific Stage 2. However, the World Championship was again unattainable for the team, and in the final schedule of VALORANT Champions 2024, Paper Rex took 9th-12th place.

The current year 2025 turned out to be the most productive for the team. During the season, Paper Rex stats were replenished with many awards, including: victory at Masters Toronto 2025, Pacific Stage 2, 4th place at the newly created Esports World Cup 2025, 3rd place at Pacific Stage 1, and thanks to this, she again qualified for VALORANT Champions 2025.
