Such a situation occurred recently, in the second round of the group stage, after the match between Paper Rex and Team Heretics. To start, it's worth noting that the match itself cannot be called an example of excellent behavior. During it, players from both teams taunted the corpses of their opponents and crouched over them. But the peak of unsportsmanlike behavior occurred after the clash, which, by the way, ended with a 2-1 victory for Paper Rex. As a result of the victory, Ilya "something" Petrov, unable to contain his emotions, showed the middle finger to the Team Heretics players, signifying the well-known unpleasant gesture.
Following this, the player and the organization were subjected to a barrage of criticism. As a result, something apologized to all players and fans of Team Heretics in his official Twitter account and on a live broadcast. Despite this, the Valorant community is divided into two camps, some believe that it was just emotions, and the matter should be closed after the apology. Others are convinced that such actions are unacceptable, and the player should be severely fined.
