Ahead of the international Valorant tournament, organizers have announced the schedule and format for the VCT 2024 Masters Madrid, scheduled for March 14 onwards.
For the first time in Valorant history, a Swiss system format will be used. The initial matches will pit teams that secured first and second place in each region against each other. However, starting from the second match, the map selection will be determined randomly through a lottery. Four teams that manage to secure two victories will advance to the playoffs, which will utilize a double-elimination format.
Participating teams in the VCT 2024 Masters Madrid:
Viewers tuning into the match broadcasts on Twitch from March 14 to 24 will have the chance to receive a limited drop - the "Ñ" title. And those who enjoy the grand final on March 24 will have the opportunity to obtain the "VCT Push" player card.
Additionally, on March 24, a Showmatch will introduce a new agent, providing an additional reason for Valorant fans to enjoy the event.
It's worth noting that last year's Masters Madrid tournament had a prize pool of over 1 million dollars, while information about this year's prize pool has not yet been disclosed.
