"International teams will punish EDward Gaming" - Ryan Central shares predictions for Masters Madrid

The Kickoff qualifying tournaments in each competitive region have concluded, which means that all the teams participating in the upcoming Masters Madrid have been determined. Ahead of the first major tournament in 2024, renowned commentator and analyst Ryan Central shared his predictions about the possible outcomes for the teams.

Ryan Central is a well-known analyst, commentator, and former coach of professional Valorant teams. He actively follows and comments on most VCT league tournaments, allowing him to objectively view the situation on the professional scene. Before the start of Masters Madrid, he made a prediction about two Chinese teams, stating that the regional favorites EDward Gaming would be punished by well-known international clubs.

Considering the discussions about this and after reviewing everything in the CN scene, I actually don't think it would be too harsh to place EDG and FPX at the bottom of the Madrid level list. Over the past few months, EDG has looked unsuccessful, but other CN teams have failed to punish them. International teams can 100% do it.

It's worth noting that as of today, EDward Gaming is the main favorite of the Chinese region. The team has dominated regional tournaments throughout 2023, which continued into the current year. At the last VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: China Kickoff, the favorites earned an easy victory in the grand final with a score of 3-1. Despite such results, the analyst is confident that international teams will stop the Chinese tops.

We will be able to check if the commentator's expectations are met on March 14, when Masters Madrid starts. The tournament will last for 10 days, during which the 8 best teams from all regions will fight for the championship title, as well as a large prize pool, the size of which has not yet been disclosed.
