BerlIN from FPX: "This moment will stay in my memory for a long time"

On May 27, during the third day of the international VCT 2024 Masters Shanghai tournament, FunPlus Phoenix was defeated 1-2 by Team Heretics and eliminated from the competition.

On the final map, Icebox, TH gained a significant advantage in the first half while playing on the attacking side, finishing with a score of 10-2. However, FPX managed to win eight consecutive rounds and took the lead at 12-11, coming close to advancing to the playoffs. TH managed to take one round, sending the match into overtime, and the battle continued evenly.

In the 32nd round, TH created an advantage thanks to a triple kill by paTiTek at point A. BerLIN tried to plant the spike, remaining one-on-one, but canceled the plant after hearing Boo's footsteps. He couldn't catch his opponent, and time ran out, leading to their defeat.

Despite being eliminated from the tournament, FunPlus Phoenix showed their strength by taking a map from Gen.G. The team hopes to participate in Champions, and it will be interesting to see how they perform in Stage 2.
