The Best Valorant Teams of 2024

The year 2024 turned out to be one of the brightest for the young Valorant discipline and a game-changer for many teams, especially EDward Gaming, Team Heretics, and others. Throughout the year, most teams showcased their skills so impressively that they altered the entire meta. Champions Seoul, the final tournament of the year, will be remembered by fans for the teams' performances and production value. Now, let’s take a look at the top 10 Valorant teams of 2024 according to Bo3.gg.

How Were the Best Valorant Teams Determined?

Using our custom scoring system, we compiled a list of the top 10 teams of 2024. The main criteria for awarding points included Tier-1 trophies, total prize money earned during the competitive year, and team performance in key matches. The best team scored 440 points, while the 10th team garnered 16.42 points, narrowly beating the 11th spot by just 0.98 points. Notably, only VCT tournament results were considered, with off-season events excluded.

10. 100 Thieves

After a disappointing 2023 season, 100 Thieves managed to redeem themselves and show some improvement in just one year. Despite finishing last in the VCT 2024: Americas Kickoff, the team bounced back to win the VCT 2024: Americas Stage 1, securing a spot at VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2024. They were one map away from reaching Champions 2024 but ultimately fell short. In total, the team earned $100,000 in prize money during the VCT season and received 16.42 points, placing them 10th, just 0.98 points ahead of Team Vitality.

9. DRX

DRX demonstrated consistent results throughout the season. The team often fell just short of reaching Masters—a “curse” that was finally broken toward the end of the season. Thanks to a second-place finish in VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 2, DRX secured a slot at Champions Seoul, where they placed 5th–6th. They earned 26.08 points for their year-long performance and $150,000 in prize money.

8. Paper Rex

With 36.14 points, Paper Rex claimed the 8th spot. This team, which made minimal roster changes in recent seasons, continues to showcase stability, remaining a regular presence at international tournaments. While they participated in every major event in 2024, they failed to win any titles. Their total prize money for the year amounted to $185,000.

7. Fnatic

Fnatic earned 39.62 points in a season that was mixed compared to their stellar 2023 performance, when they were among the best. Despite facing challenges with player Leo due to health issues, the team achieved notable results: victories at VCT 2024: EMEA Stage 1 and Stage 2, along with a 5th–6th place finish at VALORANT Champions 2024.

6. G2 Esports

In their debut year in the Valorant Champions Tour, G2 Esports not only competed but also secured the 6th spot in the rankings. With 45.56 points, they earned this position through a 3rd-place finish at VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2024, a 7th–8th place finish at VALORANT Champions 2024, consistent regional play, and $240,000 in prize money.

5. Leviatán

Leviatán, bolstered by the addition of superstar Erick "aspas" Santos, met expectations late in the season. They won VCT 2024: Americas Stage 2 and secured bronze at the World Championship, earning 69.56 points and the 5th spot in the rankings.

4. Team Heretics

Formed entirely with young players at the start of 2024 and plagued by roster issues throughout the season, Team Heretics surprised not just the European scene but the world. They ranked 4th with 134.98 points. Despite not winning any titles, they earned $650,000 in prize money, largely thanks to a silver finish at Champions Seoul.

3. Sentinels

Sentinels, one of the most result-oriented teams, were inconsistent throughout the season but managed to secure the last slot at Champions 2024, edging out 100 Thieves. With 272.46 points, they placed 3rd in the rankings due to victories at VCT 2024: Americas Kickoff and VALORANT Masters Madrid 2024, as well as a 4th-place finish at Champions Seoul.

2. Gen.G Esports

Gen.G Esports, trailing the top spot by 100 points, took 2nd place. They dominated much of the season, winning 3 of 6 possible trophies: VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff, VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2024, and VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 2. However, their failure to advance from the group stage at Champions 2024 cost them the top spot. They earned $580,000 in prize money.
