There are tons of events happening in the Valorant pro scene. Regional qualifiers, VCT tournaments, Tier 2 competitions in Challengers League, and a bunch more, including the women's division Game Changers. But the most important and prestigious are the Masters series tournaments and the Valorant Champions world championship. In the five years since the discipline's inception, there have been relatively few such tournaments, and below we will mention all the Masters and Valorant Champions winning teams, as well as the players who received the MVP title.
Masters Reykjavík 2021 – Sentinels
Although Valorant was released in 2020, the professional scene of the game was only formed in 2021. At that time, two Masters series tournaments were held, the first of which took place in the capital of Iceland. The American club Sentinels became the champion of Masters Reykjavík 2021, defeating Fnatic 3-0 in the grand final. Interestingly, Sentinels not only closed out the final match without a chance, but also did not lose a single map throughout the tournament (Sentinels 2:0 Fnatic, Sentinels 2:0 Team Vikings, Sentinels 2:0 NUTURN Gamings, Sentinels 3:0 Fnatic), which speaks to their dominance at the time.

Masters Berlin 2021 – Gambit Esports
The second Masters was held in Berlin, and the winner was the little-known club Gambit Esports from the CIS region. In the grand final, they defeated Team Envy with a score of 3:0. But unlike most of the participants on our list, Gambit Esports did not take advantage of this opportunity. The club participated in the next championship and at the end of 2021 disbanded its Valorant roster.

Valorant Champions 2021 – Acend
The first Valorant World Championship was also held in 2021 and brought together 16 of the best teams from different regions. The strongest among them was the European team Acend, which defeated the winners of the previous Masters, Gambit Esports, 3-2 in the grand final and became the first world champion.

MVP – zeek
In addition to the winning team, the organizers also named the best player of the tournament, which was Acend's Aleksander “zeek” Zygmunt. The young Polish esports player showed excellent results with his two favorite agents, Raze and Reyna.

Masters Reykjavík 2022 – OpTic Gaming
The first Masters in 2022 was again held in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavík, and the winner was the new OpTic Gaming team, which defeated LOUD 3-0 in the grand final. Interestingly, OpTic Gaming only existed during 2022. The team was formed in February of that year, won the Masters, and performed well in other major tournaments, but was disbanded in December 2022 for reasons that remain unknown.

Masters Copenhagen 2022 – FunPlus Phoenix
The next Masters Copenhagen was a real surprise for the audience, as the Chinese club FunPlus Phoenix defeated Paper Rex 3-2 in the grand final. This was a real celebration for the Chinese region, where Valorant had not even been officially released at the time. This event is also significant because, until the end of 2024, FPP was the only Chinese team that managed to win such a prestigious tournament, pushing aside teams from the strongest region, the Americas. Although, as you can see in the picture, there were no Chinese players on the team at the time.

Valorant Champions 2022 – LOUD
That year's world championship presented viewers with another unexpected favorite, LOUD. The Brazilian team was only formed in early 2022, but despite this, it dominated its region and advanced to Valorant Champions 2021, where it became the winner. The team defeated OpTic Gaming 3-1 in the grand final, avenging their defeat at Masters Reykjavík 2022.

In 2022, the organizers did not announce the player who received the MVP title at the championship. But if they had, it would most likely have gone to Erick “aspas” Santos, a Brazilian player who is now, in 2025, considered one of the best duelists in the world.
LOCK//IN São Paulo 2023 – Fnatic
In 2023, the situation was different because instead of two Masters events, only one Masters series tournament was held in Tokyo. The first event was replaced by LOCK//IN São Paulo. This tournament differed from Masters in that as many as 32 teams from the VCT scene took part in it. Nevertheless, the tournament had a large prize pool, so it is worth mentioning. The winner of the event was the European team Fnatic, which defeated the then-reigning world champions LOUD 3-2 in the grand final.

Masters Tokyo 2023 – Fnatic
However, the European team did not stop at their past achievements, and at the next Masters, which took place in Tokyo, Fnatic became the winners again. Interestingly, during the entire tournament, the team lost only one map against Evil Geniuses in the upper bracket final. This did not prevent them from meeting EG again in the grand final, and this time they defeated their opponents 3:0 and became the winners of Masters Tokyo.

Valorant Champions 2023 – Evil Geniuses
Probably the most famous winners of the world championship are Evil Geniuses, who defeated Paper Rex 3:1 in the grand final in 2023. But the most interesting details of this situation were revealed after the final. As it became known, the Evil Geniuses organization kept its players in a contractual “prison” and demanded exorbitant sums from other teams that wanted to buy out the players. But after the publicity on social media, a solution to the situation was found, and 4 out of 5 players left the club immediately after the championship.

MVP - Demon1
According to the organizers, the best player of the tournament was EG duelist Max “Demon1” Mazanov. He is known not only for his high level of play, but also for his rather eccentric behavior. Throughout the tournament, he often mocked his opponents, called himself the best player in Valorant during interviews, and even climbed onto the table after the victory.

Masters Madrid 2024 – Sentinels
In 2024, two Masters series events were held again on the professional stage, and the American club Sentinels won the first one, which took place in Madrid. In the final of the tournament, the team faced Gen.G Esports and won 3:2 in a tense battle. Thanks to this, Sentinels became the only team on the professional Valorant scene to win two Masters series tournaments, thus forever entering the esports history of the game.

Masters Shanghai 2024 – Gen.G Esports
However, the next event in the same year, Masters Shanghai, was a success for the Korean club. Gen.G Esports easily made it through the group stage and then defeated all of their famous opponents in the playoffs. In the grand final, the team faced the European region's top team, Team Heretics, and won 3:2 in a tense battle. Thanks to this, Gen.G became the first team from the Pacific region to win the Masters trophy and also began an era of Asian team domination in this event.

Valorant Champions 2024 – EDward Gaming
However, the world championship that same year ended very unexpectedly. Despite the dominance of the American and Pacific regions in previous international tournaments, the winner of Valorant Champions 2024 was the Chinese club EDward Gaming. In the grand final, it faced Team Heretics and, after five maps, became the winner with a score of 3:2. Thanks to this, EDward Gaming not only brought the first trophy of this level to its region, but also showed that, despite the predictions, the newly formed Chinese teams should be reckoned with.

MVP - ZmjjKK
The best player of the tournament was EDward's duelist Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang. The Chinese pro showed incredible play on Jett and even set a new record in the grand final with 111 kills in a Bo5 match.

Masters Bangkok 2025 – T1
After Gen.G's victory at the second Masters in 2024, the Pacific region began its era of dominance in this series of tournaments. It continued at Masters Bangkok 2025, where the Korean club T1 won a hard-fought victory over G2 Esports with a score of 3:2. Interestingly, T1 was considered somewhat of an underdog before the tournament began, and many viewers believed that DRX from the same region had a much better chance. However, DRX did not even make it out of the group stage, and T1 ended up becoming the champions.

MVP - Meteor
Starting with the event in Bangkok, the organizers began to announce the MVP players at the Masters series tournaments as well, and the first of them was Kim “Meteor” Tae-oh. The experienced Korean Sentinel player showed an excellent performance in the grand final and managed to play 4 different agents in 5 maps, including the duelists Reyna and Iso, which is not typical for players of his role.

Masters Toronto 2025 – Paper Rex
The dominance of Pacific teams continued at the last Masters Toronto, which ended a few days ago. The grand final saw Paper Rex face off against Fnatic, with the former winning a relatively easy 3-1 victory and bringing the third Masters trophy to the Pacific region.

MVP - f0rsakeN
The captain of Paper Rex, Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto, was named the best player of the tournament. His ACS rating was 137 for the entire tournament, and he finished the last match with a KD of 81/75.
