Unknown changes on the Turkish scene continue: FUT Esports has also moved all of its players to the inactive roster

Today, unknown changes concerning the roster of one of the Turkish teams were repeated. According to the Valorant Champions Tour Global Contract Database, FUT Esports has changed the status of all its players from active to inactive.

It is worth noting that this is the second similar situation in recent days. Yesterday, BBL Esports made a similar change, resulting in most of their players now being listed as reserves. Read more about it in our article. As in the case described above, the FUT Esports organization has not commented on its actions, but in the comments, the team's fans have started to construct various theories. These are mostly guesses, but one user suggested that such a change could be related to the financial aspect of the team.

This is just an assumption, but is it possible that they are doing this to avoid paying them the league minimum until the season starts?

A few months ago, Riot Games updated the rules for organizations regarding players. They changed the number of substitute participants that can be in a team, and besides, organizations must pay their players a salary continuously. Therefore, perhaps the management of FUT Esports plans to reduce these expenses by moving players to the inactive roster.

The Turkish collective finished the current competitive season quite poorly. Of all the major tournaments, the club only won one prize place, in the regional season of VCT 2023: EMEA League, where the players won bronze. After that, the team made a substitution and signed the well-known Turkish Operator Mehmet "cNed" İpek, who previously played for Natus Vincere.

As we wrote above, the organization does not comment on such changes, but assumptions about changes in the roster can be immediately dismissed. The team is currently performing successfully at Red Bull Home Ground#4, and ahead of it lies another big tournament in the off-season, Superdome 2023 - Egypt. Therefore, it is unlikely that the organization decided to make any replacements right during their participation in events.
