Rumors: BBL Esports' Valorant roster expected to undergo unknown changes

Today, unclear information emerged regarding the roster of the Turkish team BBL Esports in Valorant. For unknown reasons, the organization has moved five of its players to the inactive roster.

According to the Riot Games - Valorant Champions Tour Global Contract Database, the status of five players of the Turkish national team changed from active to reserve. Along with Toprak "lauress" Kaynak, who has been listed as a substitute since October 2023, the data of other players have been added. Doğukan "QutionerX" Dural, Eren "Brave" Kasırga, Melih "pAura" Karaduran, and Efe "Elite" Teber are now also considered non-active participants. Only Ali "AsLanM4shadoW" Balta remains in the active lineup, having been with the club since its inception.

It should be recalled that the team had a disappointing performance during the last competitive season of VCT 2023. The team's performance at VCT 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo ended at 17-32nd place, and in the regional league VCT 2023: EMEA League, the club finished in 7th place. BBL Esports also missed the world championship because they failed the last LCQ qualifications. After this, the team's roster underwent some changes, and was fully formed only at the end of October 2023.

The reason for such changes remains unknown, and the organization has not officially commented on the situation. Speculation that the team plans to completely renew itself seems quite unlikely, considering that the club has only recently signed two new players, as well as the situation on the Valorant transfer scene. Perhaps the organization will change roles, or plans to renegotiate contracts with some members. We are waiting for official comments from the representatives of BBL Esports.
