Team Falcons disbands their Valorant roster despite great season results

Yesterday, the Valorant esports community was shaken by unexpected news concerning Team Falcons. The Saudi Arabian organization decided to disband their Valorant roster despite the team's successful current competitive season.

The club's management announced this decision on their official social media channels. The team representatives did not disclose the reason for this decision, only bidding farewell to the players and thanking them for their achievements. It was also revealed that the players, although without an organization, will continue to compete together in the upcoming Ascension tournament, as confirmed by Riot representatives later.

Today we made the difficult decision to terminate the contracts with our Valorant players. They will remain as a team and compete together under their own tag. We want to thank the fans for supporting the team and wish the players success in their future careers.

Last Team Falcons roster

  • Mohammad "Moh" Abdulaziz
  • Abed "SpY" Doughan
  • Khalid "KHaaLiD" Al-Talib
  • Saif "Akai" Alnuaimi
  • Saad "Izuki" Aldughaither
  • Mark "sand" Emad
  • Amjad "beAst" Al-Belbiese (head coach)
  • Abdo "c4Lypso" Agha (assistant coach)
  • Artur "Marchi" Muratov (analyst)

This decision came as a surprise to the team's fans because Team Falcons had shown very impressive results during the current season. The club boasts two victories in both stages of the Saudi eLeague 2024: Major 1 and Major 2, as well as first place in the VALORANT Challengers 2024 MENA: Resilience - LAN Finals. Thanks to these achievements, the team earned a direct invitation to the important Ascension EMEA tournament, where they will compete for a slot in the VCT partner league.

The future of the players is currently unclear, but it is likely that an organization planning to acquire such a high-caliber roster and aiming for partnership with Riot will sign them soon. We will be following the players to learn more about their future careers.
