Riot Games Reveals VALORANT System Requirements on Unreal Engine 5

Developers from Riot Games have shared the system requirements for VALORANT following the transition to Unreal Engine 5, which will occur with the release of update 11.02, scheduled for July 29.

Despite the switch to a more modern engine, the system requirements will not increase. As noted by the developers, optimizations may even enhance performance on some configurations. For instance, FPS and loading speed are expected to improve compared to the UE4 version. Additionally, Intel Arc graphics cards are now officially supported.

Riot Games also emphasized that the game will feel the same as before. All key mechanics, visual elements, and gameplay will remain intact. However, bugs or compatibility issues may arise. A feedback form will be prepared in advance for such problems.

On UE5, the overall client size will be smaller, but at least 30 GB of free space will be required for the installation of patch 11.02 due to numerous changes during the transition. This is related to the large number of temporary files needed for installation. Developers recommend installing the game on an SSD to speed up launching and loading.
