Oasis Gaming announces the completion of contracts with DubSteP and witz

On August 2, 2024, Philippine cybersports team Oasis Gaming announced the end of contracts with Valorant players known as DubSteP and witz.

DubSteP, a 31-year-old cyber athlete, began his CS career in 2014. He played for teams such as Mineski, Rex Regum Qeon, and Team Aster, and participated in numerous offline tournaments. In 2020, DubSteP moved to the Valorant stage and won the VCT 2021 SA Stage 3 with Bren Esports. However, due to visa issues, he left the team and continued his career with Team Secret, where he finished 8th at the 2021 VALORANT Champions. In 2023, despite failures at Masters and Champions, he reached 6th place at VCT Pacific 2023 and 2nd place at LCQ. In February 2024, DubSteP joined Oasis Gaming and participated in Challengers League 2024 Philippines, where his team placed 6th in Split 1 and 3rd in Split 2.

The 29-year-old witz began his CS career in 2017 and has played for teams TNC and Bren Esports. At Valorant, he joined Bren Esports in 2021 and reached 8th place at the 2021 VALORANT Championships as part of Team Secret. In 2022, after being announced on the bench for Team Secret, he played for NAOS Esports and Oasis Gaming. With Oasis Gaming, witz won the VCL 2023 PH Split 1 and Split 2 and placed 4th at the Ascension Tournament in Thailand.

Oasis Gaming thanked both players for their contributions and wished them good luck in the future. So far, the organization has not made any announcements on player recruitment, suggesting that a break from the competitive scene during the offseason may be imminent.
