Beta Announcement for VALORANT Mobile
On April 21, Riot officially revealed the second beta test of VALORANT Mobile, which will be held exclusively in the Chinese region. The development is being handled by LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, and China’s massive gaming community is expected to help optimize the mobile version before its global release. More details were covered in a separate article.

Community Reaction
The announcement didn’t generate massive hype among the wider community — most notable content creators, streamers, and pro players remained silent, except for a few jokes like “booking a flight to China.”
Meanwhile, regular players were divided into two camps: some welcomed the beta test and praised Riot for expanding the VALORANT experience to mobile, while others voiced frustration. The main criticism lies in Riot’s apparent priorities — with the PC version still lacking key features like a replay system, competitive players feel neglected.
Yes! Let's do Valorant Console and now Mobile, but we still don't have a REPLAY system and at the end of each act I play 100% of my games (11 consecutive) against or with SMURFS (90% of their matches they MVP in Ascendant 3, but they were 0.7 KDR Iron or Bronze a few months ago)a fan commented under the announcement post
You really released Valorant Mobile before giving us replays...added another player.
When talking about mobile fps, please be sure to take serious about hacker....for what happened to apex legends mobile...the first day it launch, it was a good experience for me at least...but few days come by, hacker all over the servers..if not all, its asia serverOne of the users expressed his concerns
This is a W. Just plz be more transparent than Ubi about your mobile release. Ubi sitting on R6 mobile for MONTHS saying they’ll bring it to other countries and we still waiting. One of the fans waiting for the game
FUN FACT: Valorant Mobile, leaked months ago, has already showed a functioning replay system as well as a POTG type of system that allows players to create clips of their plays nativally, in-game.Another comment
I played Valorant for like 4 months so I know what every button would do but this still looks like way too much. The game either has 8 or 9 buttons in general — nearly double the normal mobile game button amount. You’ll probably have to press 3–4 buttons in a short time while aiming with swiping. The positioning also looks pretty awful, like the scope on the top left. Compared to other shooters on mobile, Valorant just feels way too complex.wrote a Reddit user, expressing concern over the game’s complexity on mobile.
While VALORANT Mobile is generating buzz among fans, especially in Asia, the growing criticism from the global player base reveals a deeper frustration with the lack of progress in the core PC experience.
