Professional player can't climb out of the Ascendant rank: The ruthless ranking system in Valorant

The new ranking season in Valorant has proven to be merciless not only for regular players but also for professionals who have significant experience and dedicate around 8 hours a day to the game. Despite such considerable effort, some of them still struggle to rise from the Ascendant rank.

One of the players from the Korean-American organization T1, Daniel "Rossy" Abedrabbo, has encountered the unforgiving ranking system. On his personal social media page X, he shared a screenshot of his match history in Valorant, where he lost eight times in a row.

Thanks to his hidden rating, he only lost one rank after this series of defeats. However, it's important to note that he's not the only one facing difficulties in climbing ranks this season. More about this can be read in another of our articles.

On January 17th, the T1 team will begin their journey in this year's season with the VALORANT Champions Tour 2024: Pacific Kickoff. In this tournament, eleven teams from Asia will compete for two invitations to VCT 2024: Masters Madrid and 3 Pacific Points. More detailed information about this is available at this link.
