From Radiant to Gold - In the new episode, high-ranking players can't regain their rank

In addition to the variety brought to Valorant by the new eighth episode, there was also the usual rating reset. It is this reset that has caused some problems for high-ranking players who are currently unable to regain their rightful rank.

As a reminder, when episodes change in Valorant, players lose their current rating. This is done to maintain competition, and high-ranking players need to prove their skills anew. It is because of this rating reset that there is a peculiar situation in the current episode. In his Twitter account, a user with the nickname Zod shared some interesting statistics. At the end of the seventh episode, he had a Radiant rank and even reached 1,630th place among all players in the world. But after the start of the new episode, his rank dropped all the way to Gold 1, making the gap between his past and current rank incredibly large.

His followers reacted to this situation, with one of them stating that it is unfair. According to him, his rank was Diamond 1 in the seventh episode, and at the beginning of the eighth, he also got Gold 1. But the situation is that there is only one rank, Platinum, between Gold and Diamond. Whereas there are four whole ranks between Gold and Radiant. Because of this, for Zod to regain his rank, he needs to make an incredible effort, which is very unfair.

For now, it is unknown whether other high-ranking players have also encountered such an unfair system. We will continue to monitor the situation and any possible comments from Riot Games.
