The official VCT competition tournament starts in the coming weeks, and each of the competitive regions is preparing for it. Recently, representatives of the Pacific region revealed the format of the upcoming Kickoff tournament, as well as the pairings of the teams.
It should be noted that before the first major tournament of this year, Masters Madrid, there will be four qualification rounds in each of the competitive regions Kickoff Pacific, EMEA, Americas, China. Details about all regions are not yet available, but the organizers of the Pacific Kickoff have already revealed details of the upcoming tournament. In the qualifiers, 11 partner teams will compete over nine days for two invitations to the upcoming Masters, as well as 3 Pacific Points, which are necessary to qualify for the world championship. The Pacific Kickoff will be divided into three stages: the group stage, which will be in a double-elimination format, the play-in stage, which will be in a Round Robin format, and the final playoff stage, in a Single-Elimination format.
All 11 participants are divided into three groups, A, B, C, but due to the overall number of teams, only 3 clubs ended up in the last group. The best teams from each group will go directly to the playoffs, the second-place participants will go to the play-in stage, where they will compete for one slot in the final stage of the tournament.
Valorant Champions Tour 2024: Pacific Kickoff will take place from February 17 to 25 in a LAN format in Seoul, at the S FACTORY Tower D arena. 11 partner teams will compete for 2 invitations to the first Masters Madrid this year, as well as Pacific Points, which will determine the participants of the upcoming world championship. Interestingly, this year there will be no cash prizes at the qualifying stages.
