The main tournament of the year and concurrently the world championship for Valorant is approaching, and the gaming community is gearing up for an exciting show featuring their favorite teams. While not all participants for the upcoming event are known yet, Riot Games has been heating up interest by announcing the prize pool to be awarded at the tournament.
Although no official announcement has been made, additional information about the upcoming event recently appeared on the Liquipedia portal. It was revealed that the prize pool for Valorant Champions 2024 will be $2,250,000, similar to the championship in 2023. This suggests that organizers will not gradually increase the amount as in 2022, but the prize of $2,250,000 will also remain stable in future championships.
A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament, 3 of which are already known. The prize pool will be divided among all participants as follows:
- 1st place - $1,000,000
- 2nd place - $400,000
- 3rd place - $250,000
- 4th place - $130,000
- 5th-6th places - $85,000
- 7th-8th places - $50,000
- 9th–12th places - $30,000
- 13th-16th places - $20,000
Valorant Champions 2024 will take place from August 1 to 25, 2024, in a LAN format in Seoul, South Korea. The 16 strongest teams, 4 from each competitive region, will compete for the total prize pool of $2,250,000 and the title of the strongest team.
