FunPlus Phoenix announced the signing of Yan "Shr1mp" Yun, who will replace the departing captain Zhang "BerLIN" Bolin. The new IGL of the team will be Kale "Autumn" Dunn. The official announcement of the signing was published on the organization's Weibo page.
Shr1mp began his career in 2022 with the team TYLOO, where he played until mid-year. After leaving TYLOO in February 2023, he started playing for JiJieHao. In 2024, Shr1mp briefly joined the team Qing Jiu Club, competing at the tier-2 level of the Chinese scene. With this team, he participated in the tournament VCT 2024: Ascension China, where they placed 7th-8th.
The next tournament for FPX will be VCT 2025: China Stage 1, which will take place from March 13 to May 4. In the first match, the team will face Titan Esports Club. The match is scheduled for March 16. The event will offer three slots for VCT: Masters Toronto and points for qualification to VALORANT Champions.
