Kelden "Boostio" Pupello, the in-game leader of the current world champions, shared an interesting news on his Twitter account. He received a block during his latest ranked match.
According to Boostio, he was playing a normal match in Valorant with his girlfriend. After playing 8 rounds, Kelden chatted with his opponents in the general chat and jokingly wrote "I am a midget". Following this, Riot's control system determined that the player had violated communication rules, and his words were deemed offensive. As a result, Boostio received a block on text and voice chat for the duration of that match, as well as a ban on their use for the rest of the day.
I was playing swift plays with my girlfriend and I FUCKING CALLED MYSELF A MIDGET IN TEXT AND GOT FUCKING BAN. pic.twitter.com/pCu8Qh9g77

In the comments, fans supported the professional and joked that Riot won't allow the champion's leader to insult himself. Users also speculated that the system did not take into account that Boostio was writing about himself. Most likely, it reacted to the word "midget," which it considered offensive.
Remember, the new analysis and punishment system from Riot Games has already blocked players without reason. A month ago, we published an article about a French player who also received a ban because the system incorrectly recognized the French language and detected an offensive word where there wasn't one. Read more about it in our article.
