Leo Faria, the head of Valorant esports, has responded to the recent issue involving Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang’s wireless mouse during a Masters Bangkok 2025 match.
In EDward Gaming’s debut match against Team Liquid, on the first map, ZmjjKK was forced to switch from a wireless mouse to a wired one during a technical timeout due to severe connection issues. The malfunction caused significant lag, turning the game into a "slideshow." This incident sparked outrage within the community, with professional players demanding an immediate solution from Riot Game. We wrote about this in our previous article.
Leo Faria addressed the situation on social media, clarifying that the issue was not with the PCs but with connectivity. He explained that the large amount of stage equipment—including cameras, microphones, lighting, and other devices—could interfere with the wireless connection. However, he reassured fans that player comfort is Riot’s top priority, and the company is working on a quick resolution.
As planned, we started deploying the new global PC fleet at Masters Bangkok. All stage and ready rooms PCs are new. The entire fleet, including practice rooms, will be live later this year. We are aware of issues with wireless mouses and are triaging it. It has nothing to do with the PCs, but with the amount of tech on stage (cameras, mics, headsets, lights, etc) and how that affects signals. Playing wired solves the issue, but we want pros to play however they want, and there’s no question that wireless is better. We’re on it.Leo Faria
