Brimstone ahead again - The Valorant community compares agent abilities

In almost every major update, Valorant developers either strengthen or weaken certain agents, making it challenging for regular players to keep track of all changes. After the latest patch 8.08, the ValorantLab channel compared the duration of all damage-dealing abilities in Valorant, which we will discuss below.

A short video was released on the official ValorantLab Twitter account, comparing all agent abilities that deal periodic damage and stay on the ground for some time. The test involved 6 agents, and the overall duration of the abilities ranged from 4 to 8 seconds.

After a brief test, it was found that the shortest duration belongs to the abilities of Phoenix and Gekko, whose skills remain on the ground for only 4 seconds. On the other hand, one of the winners is the recently nerfed Viper, whose ability lasts 6.5 seconds. The main winner was Brimstone and his Incendiary, which lasts a full 8 seconds. It is worth noting that this agent has won similar competitions before. A few months ago, the ValorantLab channel compared the duration of all agents' smokes, and Brimstone also emerged as the winner.

Despite such clear advantages, the agent is not one of the most popular as of 2024. According to Tracker.gg, his overall pick rate is only 2.0, with a win rate of 47.5%.
