Following the latest reports related to the weakening of agent Viper, the Valorant community became interested in the smokes of other characters. An insider and dataminer from the ValorantLab account created a compilation of all the smokes in Valorant to determine which one lasts the longest.

It's worth mentioning that after the release of update 8.05, players noticed that the duration of Viper’s smoke had decreased from 15 seconds to 13. After this, the dataminer KINGDOM LABORATORIES determined that a weakening had occurred, but even earlier, in August 2023, along with the update 7.01. Read more about this in our material. After the story with Viper became popular, ValorantLab conducted its own experiment to determine which of the smokes has the longest duration.

Interestingly, the author considered not only smokes but also walls that also produce a smoke effect. As a result of a short study, it was found that Brimstone's ability - Sky Smoke, has the longest duration of almost 20 seconds. In turn, the shortest duration belongs to Jett's ability; her Cloudburst lasts only 4 seconds.

Note that this research result is quite logical, considering the popularity of the agent. Brimstone is extremely often chosen, both in regular matches and during professional tournaments.
