Bleed Esports issues continue: Singapore court investigates team CEO

The Singaporean esports team Bleed Esports is facing serious problems after Riot Games announced the team's disqualification from the international league. Recently, the team was also accused of failing to pay salaries to a CS2 coach and a player from the R6S department.

According to journalist Tanmay, known for his investigations in Southeast Asia, the registration of the legal entity managing Bleed Esports was canceled in November 2023 in Singapore. This means the team has effectively not been functioning as a company for almost a year, violating the law and remaining inactive.

Founded in 2021, Bleed Esports gained attention by successfully raising $50.8 million, allowing it to sign contracts with foreign players and coaches. However, the team has encountered a number of scandals, including accusations against CEO Lincoln Lim Jun Hon of trespassing and assault.

In September 2022, Lim and Bleed Esports CEO Mervin Goh were accused of assaulting a 23-year-old woman in a nightclub. If found guilty, they face up to three years in prison and a fine of up to 5,000 Singapore dollars.

Currently, the court proceedings for the criminal case against Mervin Goh are scheduled for October 21. Team players report that the CEO is in a state of disappearance, and the public is closely monitoring the situation.
