Why are players who stay and try in ranked punished more than those who go AFK or throw?

Totally feel you. It sucks that players who stay and try their best end up losing tons of RR, while AFKers or griefers barely get punished. The system really needs to focus more on intent and impact - not just stats or presence. Riot seriously needs to fix this
