The 2025 competitive season on the professional Valorant scene is coming to an end. Ahead of viewers lies only the final stage of Stage 2 qualifiers in each region and the world championship. The third stage of qualifiers will begin in the Pacific region in the near future, so today we have prepared material for you in which we will tell you all the details about the upcoming VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 2.
General information about the tournament
VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 2 is the third and final qualifying event in the Valorant Pacific region. All 12 VCT partner teams are participating, competing for two direct invitations to Valorant Champions 2025, as well as Pacific Points, which are required to qualify for the championship.

Event date and format
VCT 2025: Pacific Stage 2 will take place from July 15 to August 31 in LAN format in Korea and Japan, at three locations. The event will be divided into two stages, the group stage and the playoffs.
Group stage
During the group stage, all 12 teams will be divided into two groups, Alpha and Omega, with six participants in each. They will compete against each other in best-of-three matches. The top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs based on their results. The top team from each group will receive a slot in the upper bracket semifinals, the top two and three teams will advance to the first round of the upper bracket, and the top four teams will advance to the first round of the lower bracket. The two weakest teams from each group will be eliminated from the tournament.
Playoffs
In the next stage, the remaining 8 teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, where 2 losses mean elimination from the tournament. All matches will be best-of-3, and the lower bracket final and grand final will be best-of-5.

Participating teams
All 12 teams from the VCT partner program will participate in the tournament. Below you can see how they are divided into 2 groups:

Favorites and underdogs
Before the event begins, we would also like to highlight a few teams that we believe will perform better or worse than others in the upcoming tournament.
Favorites
The favorites in the region include Paper Rex, T1, and Gen.G Esports.
Paper Rex are the champions of the last Masters Toronto and are currently the strongest team in the region with a stable roster that is not subject to change. In addition, the team is currently performing successfully at the Esports World Cup 2025, where they have already secured a place in the playoffs thanks to two victories.
T1, in turn, are the champions of the previous Masters Bangkok 2025 and also stand out from other teams. The new lineup, which brought together the best players in the region, showed excellent results at the Masters and can rightly be considered one of the best on the Pacific stage.
Gen.G Esports, in turn, has not won any championship titles since the beginning of 2025, but thanks to its stability, the team occupies prize places. Third place at Pacific Kickoff and second place at Pacific Stage 1 show that Gen.G is only slightly behind the top teams in its region.

Underdogs
We consider Global Esports, Detonation FocusMe, and Team Secret to be the weakest teams at the event.
There is no point in talking about them separately, because since the beginning of the season, they have failed both the Kickoff and Stage 1 qualifying tournaments, where they ended their run during the group stage, which is why they did not qualify for any international events.
If we look at the changes in the lineup, only Global can theoretically show better results among the three outsiders, thanks to the recent signing of two well-known players, ban and yoman. But until we see the new lineup in action, we will still consider Global to be outsiders.

Prize pool
Unlike previous qualifiers, VCT 2025: Pacific Stage will have a prize pool of $250,000. In addition, teams will also compete for two direct invitations to Valorant Champions 2025, as well as Pacific Points, which are required to qualify for the championship.

- 2nd place – Invitation to Valorant Champions 2025, 5 Pacific Points, $65,000
