As of now, the game features 25 agents, and a new one is expected to be released soon. What’s Known About the New Agent

Rumors about the new agent first appeared in October 2024, following the launch of Episode 9, Act 3. Alongside the new Act, Riot Games introduced a new Battle Pass, as usual. One of its rewards included a player card called "Striking Distance Card."

According to well-known dataminer KINGDOM LABORATORIES, this card serves as the first hidden teaser for the new agent. You can find more details about the player card and how to obtain it in our dedicated article.

The First Official Teaser

Although fans had to wait for over a month, the first official teaser was finally released on December 8. Riot Games shared a short video on their official social media channels, hinting at the new agent.

In the video, an unidentified man is seen in the cargo hold of a plane, casually drinking coffee and eating what appears to be pie. After packing up his belongings — including a pistol and sunglasses — he jumps out of the plane when the signal is given. While the teaser didn’t reveal much, it was clear that this mysterious figure is the new agent.

The Second Official Teaser

At the beginning of 2025, Riot Games intrigued players once again with a second short teaser. The video, lasting only two seconds, shows the new agent sprinting down a corridor that leads into an unknown building.

Along with the video, Riot Games added the word “CUATRO”, though it’s unclear whether this is the agent’s name or a codename.

Information from Dataminers and Insiders

Besides the official teasers, a significant portion of information about the new agent comes from insiders and dataminers who delve into the game’s code. The VALORANT Leaks & News account shared additional details about the upcoming agent on social media. According to their sources, the official announcement of the new agent will take place next week, between January 6 and 12. They also confirmed that the agent’s role will be Initiator, and he hails from Colombia.

Official announcement

After long days of waiting, Riot Games shared the official announcement of a new agent on their social media channels. As it became known, his real name is Tejo, and he is an Initiator from Colombia. However, as of the time of updating this material, nothing is yet known about his abilities. In the video, you can only see him remotely detonating explosives, which suggests that this may be his main ability.

Tejo’s Abilities

A few hours after the official announcement of the agent, Riot Games also revealed the abilities of the new agent. As seen in the agent's trailer, he specializes in remote explosions, and his abilities are as follows:

• Special Delivery (Q) – Throws a grenade that attaches to the first surface it hits and explodes. The alternative fire allows the grenade to bounce once before sticking to a surface.
• Guided Salvo (E) – Launches rockets at two selected points on the map, which explode three times and deal damage.
• Stealth Drone (C) – Deploys a drone that can be detonated near an enemy. The drone is completely silent and marks the opponent it explodes near.
• Armageddon (X) – Opens a tactical map, similar to Brimstone. You can select the path where mines will detonate, dealing massive damage.

Lastly, we want to share that, like every new agent, Tejo will have his own gear set upon release. It will include a Shorty skin, various sprays, and player cards.
