Riot Games teases new agent in Valorant through player cards

Since its release, Valorant has been continuously evolving, with new locations and characters regularly introduced to the game. After the release of Act 3, Episode 9, dataminers discovered a new player card in the game, which serves as a hidden teaser for the upcoming agent.

What the teaser for the new agent looks like

With the release of Act 3, the Battle Pass, as always, received an update. It offers a wide variety of rewards, both free and paid. These rewards include weapon skins, gunbuddies, titles, graffiti, in-game currency, and player cards.

Among the player cards, dataminers found the teaser for the new agent. The well-known dataminer, KINGDOM LABORATORIES, mentioned on their official social media that the player card, listed among the free rewards under the name “Striking Distance Card,” is a hidden teaser for the new agent.

The card is one of the last two free rewards available without purchasing the Battle Pass. It features an unknown logo resembling two wings with a flame above them, all set against a yellow background. Additionally, another dataminer, VALORANT Leaks & News, claimed that the code name for the new agent is GlassTech, which might suggest that the agent could be an android or a robot, similar to the existing agent KAY/O.

The latest agent in Valorant

It’s worth mentioning that the latest agent in Valorant is Vyse, who was introduced in patch 9.04 in late August 2024. Since Vyse’s release, less than two months have passed, so it’s unlikely that the new agent will arrive too soon. Most likely, the new agent will appear in the game in about two more months, towards the end of Episode 9.
