Since the closed beta testing of Valorant, the duelist lineup has undergone significant changes, added a lot of new agents, some of them have unique abilities. Initially, there were only three duelists: Jett, Phoenix and Raze. Over time, numerous updates introduced new characters and significantly changed the game's balance. At the moment the game contains eight duelists:

  • Jett
  • Phoenix
  • Reyna
  • Raze
  • Yoru
  • Neon
  • Iso
  • Waylay

The latest addition was Waylay, who looked incredible during teasers and trailers thanks to the ability to quickly return into an immortal state to a predetermined point.

VALORANT 2025 duelist tier list

Below is the list of VALORANT duelists at the end of 2025, ranked by in-game effectiveness: abilities and other meta agents. The list considers their impact in high-level matches and open statistics, like pick rate, win rate and other things.

Agent
Tier
Description
Jett
S Tier
The queen of mobility and one of the top duelist VALORANT, Jett remains one of the most popular and strongest agents in the game due to her ability to outmaneuver enemies effortlessly.
Reyna
With abilities that can single-handedly decide a round’s outcome, she can turn the tide of a game in her favor.
Phoenix
A straightforward duelist with intuitive abilities, making him suitable for beginners. However, his effectiveness diminishes at higher ranks with stronger opponents.
Neon
A Tier
The agent with the highest mobility, allowing her to quickly secure key positions for her team. However, due to several nerfs, her ranking has dropped.
Raze
A powerful duelist with explosive abilities, Raze excels on maps with narrow corridors where her destructive potential shines.
Iso
B Tier
A leader in duels and a sniper’s nightmare due to his shield, which protects against all incoming damage. Particularly effective in the hands of a high-AIM player.
Waylay
A relentless close-range disruptor, thriving in chaotic fights thanks to her mobility abilities and ultimate that can very slow enemy. Excels at breaking defensive setups and forcing opponents out of cover, especially when piloted by an aggressive, timing-focused player.
Yoru
C Tier
Unpredictable and able to teleport and become invisible, Yoru demands a high level of skill. In the right hands, he can be more effective than this tier suggests.

Analysis of the duelist tier list from Bo3.gg

S Tier: The strongest

Jett and Reyna are the strongest agents in their roles. Jett remains popular thanks to her mobility, ability to avoid attacks and capability to take unexpected positions. She is also very effective with the Operator, which makes her deadly in skilled hands.

Reyna is an excellent choice for those who like to dominate in duels and one of the best duelist in VALORANT. Her abilities Devour (Q) and Dismiss (E) allow her to survive after kill, either by healing or by becoming invulnerable to damage and invisibility if ultimate is active. However, she has received some nerfs recently, which slightly reduced her effectiveness.

After the latest updates Phoenix also broke into the lead; as of December 2025 he has the highest win rate — 50.74%, and in non-mirror matchups 50.91%. As for his pick rate, it is only 16.24%, three times lower than Jett or Reyna. The data is taken from the vstats portal.

A Tier: Strong, but not S Tier

Due to the latest update where the abilities of agents were balanced, Neon burst into A tier in our opinion, replacing Iso, who is currently not experiencing the best times, having less than 49% wins.

Raze occupies a high position in our VALORANT duelist tier list. She stands out with her explosive abilities, which can destroy all enemies with one button. Although she is especially effective on maps with narrow corridors like Bind, Haven or Split, and bad at Breeze, she lags behind Jett and Reyna due to the skill level required to maximize her potential.

B Tier: Not bad, but have drawbacks

At the beginning of 2025 Phoenix confidently headed B tier, and now it is occupied by only two agents, and both of them were released latest into the game: Waylay and Iso. Despite their novelty and unique new abilities, they could not secure themselves in the meta, and older agents continue to dominate due to simple but effective abilities that can be used well in almost any situation and do not require adjusting the strategy, as is necessary for Waylay and Iso.

C Tier: Weak and difficult to use

Yoru, one of the underestimated agents for a long time, is now the worst duelist in VALORANT among all eight. The reason for this is his debuff, where the developers decided to reduce his capabilities in the ultimate, thereby weakening him so much that as of December 2025 he has 47.48% wins, which is the worst indicator among all duelists.

Every duelist in Valorant has unique strengths, even if some are considered stronger than others. You can still choose anyone you like and grow together with them in the game. Keep in mind that the meta duelist VALORANT constantly evolves with new characters and rebalancing. Your favorite may become the strongest in the future, giving you an advantage due to the time spent mastering them.
