The weekly tournament IEM Rio 2024 has started, featuring some of the best CS teams. After the first round of Group B, Vitality, The Mongolz, Astralis, and Heroic advanced to the upper bracket semifinals.
IEM Rio Match Details
Vitality confidently overcame Team 9z for the first time in their history. Previously, they lost to them twice at the BLAST Spring Showdown 2021 and at IEM Dallas 2024. This time they secured a resounding victory with a score of 13-3 in a BO1 format.
In the match between VP and The Mongolz, the latter showed confidence and managed to win the first half with a score of 8-4 on defense. In the second half, they continued to dominate, winning 13-10.
Another surprising result in this tournament was Astralis' victory over Eternal Fire. The first half ended sensationally with a score of 3-9 in their favor, which was already a shock.
