Vitality to Play at BLAST Premier World Final 2024 with a Substitute

Vitality confirmed that Audric "JACKZ" Jug will step in as a substitute at BLAST Premier World Final 2024, replacing William "mezii" Merriman. This decision was confirmed by the team.

The reason for missing the event is mezii's anticipation of the birth of his first child. The tournament, with a prize pool of $1 million, will take place from October 30 to November 3 in Singapore.

Replacement Details

Vitality's coach, Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam, stated in a recent interview that this decision was made several months before the event. XTQZZZ assured that preparation for the Perfect World Shanghai Major, which will take place shortly after BLAST Premier World Final, will not be affected.

Mezii will become a father during the World Final, so we decided to take JACKZ as a replacement about two months ago
explained XTQZZZ.

He also emphasized that the team will have time to prepare with mezii before the start of the European RMR for the Perfect World Major. Depending on the group draw, the RMR might begin 14-18 days after BLAST.

JACKZ's Career

For JACKZ, this is not the first instance of helping Vitality. The French player previously substituted for Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen during ESL Pro League Season 17, when the Dane was on paternity leave.

Currently, JACKZ is a free agent after leaving TSM earlier this year. The last time he played was with Project G, a team that disbanded after just two months. Returning to Vitality offers JACKZ a great opportunity to showcase his skills on the global stage once more.

Community Reaction

The community's reaction to JACKZ's return was joyful, as everyone missed his gameplay and presence. It will be pleasant for fans to see him in the French team, as he is regarded as one of the legendary French players.
