The developer of the Cache map for Counter-Strike, shared screenshots of the updated version on the Source 2 engine

FMPONE, one of the creators of the popular map Cache for Counter-Strike, has published in his social networks screenshots showing the progress of adaptation and reworking of the map for the Source 2 engine for CS2.

The reaction of users under the post is mixed, some of them liked the changes and are happy that the map will return to the competitive pool of maps, while others are dissatisfied or question whether such changes are necessary in reality.

We are talking about the vehicle on plant A, the whole point is that previously there it was standing straight, but now it was put at an angle, because of which it seems to users that in turn there is easy to kill the opponent from some angles.

To which the developer responded that he wants a full-sized APC to improve the ability to re-boot. He also expressed his desire for CT to have better capabilities for this purpose and not to be able to plug the ears in the middle of those holding the captive. In his opinion, the proposed solution accomplishes all of these goals.

Also, one of the users wondered if the opponent would not be able to kill the one who is planting because of the created gaps between the wheels. The developer replied that these gaps will not exist, he did not labor to fill every little detail, his goal was only to show the corners on the plant.

Recall that Cache was removed from the active map pool in 2019 and since then, it has not appeared. And after the transition of the game to the Source 2 engine, then the developer changes it using the active engine toolkit.
