The Counter-Strike community has once again been at the center of discussions due to a fresh bug that affects one of the most important tactical elements of the game - boosts. User X under the nickname Poggu shared his thoughts on the problem, which, according to him, can significantly affect gameplay.
The history of the bug and its implications
When Counter-Strike 2 first became available in beta, players noticed that ragdolls would collide with each other, stacking on top of each other. This feature was disabled, but as it turns out, it spawned a new bug. Now, when one player is on top of another, their shooting accuracy is noticeably reduced, making the boost practically useless. This bug has caused a storm of outrage among players, considering how important boosts are in a professional game.
What's really going on?
Poggu, in his recent post, explained the possible cause of the bug. In his opinion, the problem arose because Valve disabled ragdoll collision, but did not include a client-server health check that would timeout to disable the collision option for a particular player in the next round. As a result, the weapon of the player on top becomes inaccurate. This could be solved by a simple fix, which would probably get rid of this bug.
We just figured out what cases the "boost bug", it's the fucking ragdolls. Whenever you die while standing on a ragdoll your client side collision will be permanently disabled for that player.

Conclusion
If Poggu is right, the bug could easily be fixed, bringing back tactical options for professional players. Either way, this incident emphasizes the importance of thoroughly testing updates, especially when it comes to fundamental gameplay elements such as boosts in Counter-Strike.
